December 2020 A Cautionary Poem

We are coming to the end of this year
The Holidays will be different here

It is time to be creative, and time to be flexible
Have smaller gatherings, and a smaller home-festival

If Macy’s can still have a Thanksgiving Parade
You can gather on Zoom, and play Charades…

We’ve been through months of fright, and fight
But now, it appears the end is in sight

The researchers have worked hard, and the results are promising
It will take time, but a solution, they bring

Some are calling this “The beginning of the end!”
When numbers go down, the curve will bend.

In the true spirit of the season
We all have plenty of reason…

To take time to remember families and businesses
Who have suffered so badly…
Reach out to them in prayer, we’re all family

Let’s look forward to 2021
Get through the Spring, then go out and have fun.
